Vacuum vs. Carpet

So, will my vacuum or my carpet wear out first?

It's official, Nick is just one of the babies that has colic. I didn't used to believe other moms when they said that their babies would just cry for no good reason, but now I have a whole new appreciation for my vacuum cleaner. Let's be honest, I liked my vacuum before. I liked to vacuum each morning so that the house would start clean for the day. Now, though, I LOVE my vacuum because it is only one of two things that calms Nick down (the other is the bathtub). These days, we vacuum upstairs and downstairs at least twice a day and take at least one bath, sometimes two or three, a day. My sweet mother-in-law was trying to ease my frustration the other day when she told me that colic usually only lasts until babies are about 4-6 months...4-6 MONTHS! We're barely at 2 months. That means I might be halfway there, but I might only be 1/3 of the way there. Oh well, I'll just keep toughing it out & hoping that the vacuum doesn't give up before Nick does.

Oh...hopefully you aren't going crazy! You better keep that vacuum running and hopefully your carpet will hold up!! Good luck!

Hi Kelly how are you? Your kids are so cute. I feel for you. My baby had colic too. She would litterally cry and cry and then cry somemore. We had to put her on soy milk and she has finally grown out of it (she is four months) Thankfully.
