Little Fish

Just like Ryan, Nick loves the water. We could spend all day at Gram's pool soaking in the sun and splashing in the water. The only part of that idea that doesn't work is the whole 5 kids thing. It is a little hard to let 5 kids run rampant at and Gram & Grandpa's house. Gram bought Nick this little float last time we were down and he loved it. Since I'm a sunscreen and hat freak, I loved the whole shade part.

I feel a bit out of touch with life and reality lately because life just seems like one thing after another. I feel like all day long I go around putting out fires. If it isn't fighting and crying, it's "my shoes won't go on right," "my hair fell out of its braids," "I want to sit on the first stool at the bar," "I'm bored," and so forth. It's just about enough to drive a person to drink. And the whole fairness thing...what is that all about? "How come Shawn gets his food first?" "Why doesn't Sierra have to bring the laundry upstairs?" "Why does Cassie get an extra sticker on the chore chart?" eeeeeeekkk!!!
Cassie is getting baptized next Saturday. Crazy, but I guess we've worked it all out. She is really excited and can't wait for her own scriptures. My MIL gave her a set to use, but Cassie really wants some with her name on them and I couldn't get RaeMi's name off the old ones because...they were too old, I guess. One more thing to add to my ever growing list of things that need to get done: buy Cassie a set of scriptures with her name on them. Thank goodness for online shopping, it saves my life to be able to get things done at 10:00 pm when I have a few minutes.

I think my oldest brother Cory is real catch. I'm thinking that if he wants to get married someday, he's going to have to put himself out there. If he won't do it, I will! I think Cory is such a great guy. Here are his stats: He's got a great job, great house, great personality, and (if I do say so myself) a pretty great family. What is his deal? He'll be 31 in a few weeks and I think that it is about time that he starting "actively" looking. While I'm at it, my youngest brother, Brett (on the right and 22) needs a girl, too! He, on the other hand, should take a few more years to look for the right one. I happened to think that these three guys (aside from Jeff & my boys, of course) are the best looking guys around and I love them each to pieces.

Happy Birthday Staci

(pardon the terrible side picture, but since our computer
crashed I can't seem to find some of my better pictures)

Happy Birthday Aunt Staci!

What a babe...and guys out there, she's single!!!

Random Wedding Weekend Snapshots

6 Months Old

Can you believe Nick is 6 months old already? I've been holding out for this marker in hopes that he'll become a happier baby, and he has. Thank goodness that he's learned to sleep a little. He still doesn't nap good during the day (3 20 minute naps from about 6 am to 7:30 pm). Good thing he is so stinkin' cute!

My Beautiful New Sister-In-Law

This is my beautiful new sister-in-law; the newest Mrs. King! We love you Britta and are so glad that you are now a part of our family. I'm super jealous that you and Craig are in St. Martin right now, but hopefully you enjoy every minute of it! Someday I'll go on vacation again...like when the kids are all moved out????

Congrats Craig & Britta

Craig & Britta got married this past Saturday and I must say that it was the absolute best wedding I've ever been to (including my own). We had such a great time and the kids had a blast. I think that they must have each had a dozen Italian Soda's from the Italian Soda bar that was set up at the reception.

An unexpected encounter: coming out of the sealing room in the temple, I ran into Rickie Atkin, who was on his way into the temple to be married! We had a good chat and then I ran into a bunch of the guys from the old Bloomington Elementary gang that were also going to his wedding. Neat to see him after this long. He is like superman, going to Harvard Business School these days!
