A miracle has happened here at the Stanworth household...Nick has slept through the night for TWO nights in a row. I quit, cold turkey, nursing three days ago and Nick started to sleep. Coincidence??? I THINK NOT! Now, this turn in events leads me to believe that it was me for the past 11 months causing his lack of sleep. For 11 months my sweet, but hard, baby boy hasn't slept more than two hours at a time at night and rarely more than 1 hour at at time during the day. He did improve a bit at about 7 months and started taking about 1 hour naps instead of two or three 20 minute naps, but that was the extent of his good sleep. Now I guess I'll just have to feel bad that for 11 months I didn't get more than 2 hours of sleep at a time out of my own doing! So for those of you who listened to me complain endlessly about being SO tired, I'm sorry and it is all my own doing that he didn't sleep. Must've been something in the milk? I can only hope that here, on night 3, he sleeps well again and that this is starting a new and easier stage for him.

Congratulations! Hope he continues sleeping for you. You deserve the rest.
That is so great...I'm sure you will feel so much better now with a good nights sleep! Hopefully it continues!!
YEAH!!!! I am so happy to hear that little Nick decided to give you a bit of a break. Good luck- and let's hope Nick has learned how to sleep through the night.
Wow!! I can hardly function when my newborns wake up every 3 hours for the first couple weeks. I say it is the whole nursing thing too! My baby girl was 3 days old when I stopped nursing(I'm a wimp) and from that night on she woke up only once a night!! I bet you are lovin having a whole nights rest!! Good for you!
Also, I don't know why your cookies were flat. They don't really change their shape when they cook. Give it another try and let me know!
CONGRATS!!! You've earned it girl!!
Isn't that just the best time, when they sleep through the night? You feel like a whole new person! That's exciting for you, but not about the snow. Glad to be in the South for that reason! Stay Warm!!
Wow! I can't believe that! I would go CRAZY! I need my sleep. I hope he keeps it up!
