Go Dixie. Beat the Dons.
Hunting Season is Finally Slowing Down
Jeff just finished his Wyoming hunt (group shot below). Hard to believe, but Jeff doesn't have any hunts planned until Spring. That doesn't mean he won't try to toss on some duck hunting, but it does mean that he won't be gone overnight for a while.
My Little Monsters
Just getting Barrett's shirt on was enough of a battle.
He went to about 3 houses and he was done.
We were NOT a Power Ranger,
we were a Cowboy Ranger
Ryan thought this costume was hilarious.
He was baffled when he didn't win "funniest" at school.
Christmas Pic? I think so!!!
Don't be jealous...
For the elk hunt this year, Craig insisted that we finally tie-dye family shirts (we only did about 40 shirts alltogether, so we had plently to share with those who came with us). It was a lot of fun to do and a lot of fun to wear. I only wish that I had captured Craig and Dave Horlacher riding on a 4-wheeler together with their matching tie-dye shirts. Priceless!!!
Too bad it's missing Cory and Ang and my soon-to-be nephew.
Weekend happenings
We had a fun weekend. My mom and brother and his wife came up and they brought my two adorable nieces. We went to the circus, City Creek, and tie-dyed shirts for the upcoming elk hunt. I'm always so sad when they have to leave (but I think they were easy Annie all three of my boys got sick over the weekend).
1st Days of School
Can't believe summer is over already. I found myself both sad and happy about school starting. I was mostly sad because I wasn't ready to give up the time with my boys, but I am SO READY to have a schedule again. It felt like summer was mayhem all day long, every single day. We had a good time, but it felt like constant chaos! This year I have two preschoolers and a 4th grader. It's crazy how fast my babies are growing up.
(Barrett, as usual, hasn't cooperated for a school picture yet)

A weekend in the great outdoors
To say that we have been very busy this summer would be a massive understatement. We haven't pulled the camp trailer out once this summer. I don't know where the days are going, but we decided to squeeze in a quick trip with our friends, Mitch and Rebecca, and their kids.
I'm pathetic that the only picture I took while camping was I the kiddos playing "war" in the back of the trailer.
Now that the only point-and-shoot camera that I use is my phone, I forget to take pictures if my phone is off or out of reach. Since we didn't have phone service, I put my phone away.
I did pull out my phone when we realized that we had hit a bump a little too hard coming into camp and had broken off the bracket that holds our gas tank up. Jeff and Mitch rigged up some serious white trash repairs with a metal fence post and some wire to get us home. I'm not going to lie, I was a little nervous that their fine repair job might not hold.

Thank Heaven for Gram
So we all know that my mom is AMAZING to begin with, but last week she helped my friend, Cami, learn the basics of swimming. Cami is a self-proclaimed non-swimmer. Those of you who know Cami, know that she is amazing and she was selling herself short in telling everyone that she couldn't save her kids if they were drowning.
After breaking down some emotional and psychological barriers, Cami braved the diving board!
It's so fun and relaxing to go to Gram's house. It really is a vacation every time we visit. I only wish there were more time in the summer for all that good relaxation.
